As far back in history the art of modelling has been one which propels human kind to the next level. Timebinding, Benchmarking, and Role Modelling are systems to grow by.

Time binding is learning from other people so that when one learns and moves forward it’s as if we were attached. If we were studying from them and mentoring them, we move forward as well.  Examples of this were Einstein learning from Newton, and Newton from Galileo, and Plato studying under Socrates and teaching Aristotle.

Sir Isaac Newton, the father of science, said this, “I have seen so far because I have stood on the shoulders of giants”.

Benchmarking is studying business best practices to determine superior performance, and then emulating that and being the best in your field.

We all need motivation.

A survey of psychologists asked a simple question:
“What’s the most critical element that leaders need to understand about human nature?” 
The answer: “Motivation, what makes people move and act and feel and think and stand and speak the way they do, its motivation”.

Motivation is a positive force, motivation moves mountains, it moves armies, it moves the world.

Colin Powell says that “optimism is a force multiplied”.

“A shared vision is not an idea, it is a force in peoples hearts. A force of impressive power. It fills their desire to be connected in an important undertaking.”

Your vision gives you the capacity to literally look into the future. To live through your imagination, instead of looking backward and living through your memory. It’s a powerful thing.

Samuel Morris who invented the telegraph was a portrait painter, Robert Fulton who developed the steam boat was a school teacher, Galileo who proved the theories of Copernicus, who actually proved that the sun was the centre of the universe, was a tailor, he would make your suit. Can you imagine when he sat in his quiet moments thinking “I’ll never be able to prove Copernicus right.” It probably never entered his mind. Golda Meir, the first prime minister of Israel was a divorced grandmother living in the United States.

Understand this, people are watching you, your attitude is key, your attitude is critical. Your personal vision is an imperitive, your team vision is imperitive, if you’re going to have an explosion, you’ve got to buy into the explosion, it’s critical that it’s a team vision as well.
